Underwear

Last week I had the opportunity to go to Buena Vista, Colorado for a training seminar with Serendipity House. I was excited to spend the week in the mountains of Colorado, but something happened to me that I will never forget. The plan was to fly into Denver and then drive 3 hours to our destination. I arrived in Denver on time but my clothes didn't. I had packed everything for the trip in my suitcase and when I found myself standing at the baggage claim all alone the thought came to me, "Why didn't I pack an extra pair of cloths in my carry on baggage?" I have flown many times and heard the horror stories but never thought it would happen to me! I went for two days with only the cloths on my back. It was frustrating and at times I didn't know if I would ever get my suitcase returned, but after two days they delivered my clothes. I was the happiest person at the retreat! The thought crossed my mind how much we can plan the outcome of our adventures, but you never know what can happen. The lesson I learned- always carry an extra pair of underwear in your carry-on bags!
