I read this passage last night and was reminded how relevant the Word is today, as it was 2000 years ago when Paul penned it. Paul is sharing with those people he loved that he had seen the highs and lows that life brings, but he was content. When reading this it reminded me of the uncertain economic times we face. It has impacted many people I know and in part it has impacted my family. It might be a "low" time for many people, but we can take Paul's example of trusting in Christ for everything.
He states that we can do all things through Jesus because only He is the one can give us the strength to face these uncertain times. What a great lesson for me to be reminded of today!
