Failing Forward

Failing is the last thing we want to have happen to us. I hate it when I fail at anything because I am competitive by nature. No matter what I am doing I want to succeed, but in reality I don't always achieve what I am aiming at. If truth be told, I fail often.

They say that if you can hit a baseball 1 out of 3 times then you are a great hitter! What about the times they fail 2 out of 3 times at bat? Any good player knows that in order to be considered a great hitter they will fail, and if they learn from their failures then they will become a good baseball player. They learn to "fail forward".

Failing is not bad, it is the direction we go after the fall that counts. Do we learn from our setbacks and challenges or do we get mired in the fall? This life is full of "falling" down, the questions is are you falling forward in order to grow or are you falling down and not getting up?
