Arrows

I was talking to a friend the other day, and they expressed how they were being attacked spiritually in all aspects of their life. They said they were consumed with the arrows of the evil one, and they realized that they had gotten away from keeping focused on the Lord and what He had called them to do in ministering to others.
It got me to thinking how easy it is for me to get sidetracked with all the "stuff" that comes my way both at home and at church. I have a tendency of dwelling on the challenging things of life, when instead I should be dwelling on the blessings from the Lord that I see all around me. Those blessings include my families health, a wonderful, supportive, and beautiful wife, two young adult children who love Jesus, great friends who support me, and knowing that God is always in control.
When I reflect on the blessings of the Lord it makes the challenging "stuff" seem insignificant. My prayer is that I will dwell on the blessings daily!
