This was a text I received on Tuesday night after the elections were called. I was not in a very good mood when I received it and I was not in the best of mood the rest of the night. I could, and still do not understand how those who call themselves Christians could align themselves with a candidate who has views that are opposed to God's Word.
When I received the message that God picked Obama I fired off an angry e-mail to my friend with my frustration looking ahead to the next four years. A reply came back to me in the form of a passage of scripture- Romans 13:1-7.
After reading it, and then reading it again a number of times, it made me realize that when the Apostle Paul wrote this he was writing about the leader of his day- Ceaser! Nothing takes God by surprise and trusting Him for our future is what Paul was trying to get those believers at Rome to realize.
God does pick our leaders, no matter how flawed they may be. I think I will be rereading Romans 13:1-7 a lot durning the next four years.
