"Our self perception is as accurate as a carnival mirror. If we are to see ourselves clearly, it must be through the Word of God." What a great quote! A friend of mine sent this to me and when I think about it, I truly cannot see myself clearly unless I am spending time in the Bible.
I find most people don't know the Word because they are lazy- myself included! When I am in the Word on a consistent basis (and not just on Sunday) then I am ready for the spiritual warfare I face on a daily basis. When I am not, I tend to rely on my feelings or my own strength and that is the sure way of spiritual failure.
Do you look into God's mirror daily? If not, get into the Word and you will stop looking so funny in that carnival mirror!
