My daughter asked me the other day about reading. She wanted to know what novel I read last. I told her that I don't read many fiction books. Most of the books I read are ones that have been suggested by friends or colleagues, and they usually revolve around ministry or go along with what I am studying at the moment.
I am reading a book that has been in print since 1988 and has had two revisions. It is called The Gospel According to Jesus by John MacArthur. I have heard about this book over the years, but never read it. It seems that everyone who has read it has had some sort of strong opinion about it. I am half way through it, and I am discovering that it is the type of book that can rock your world if you don't have a sound Biblical foundation.
I would be extremely interested in finding out what you think about this book (if you have read it). The one thing this book is doing for me at the moment is to challenge and re-examining my faith and how I became a Christian. Check it out and let me know your thoughts!

Hello Mark,
Just found your blog via your church's website.
Recommend reading Piper's Letter to a Friend... as well. Piper brings a sense of balance MacArthur neglects, yet falls on the side of Lordship salvation, as any responsible reformed thinker would.
Cheers,
Paul D. Adams
